Unique 3D FreeGlide Soleplate
The Braun TexStyle 5 SI5188.BK iron features the world's first 3D FreeGlide soleplate with curved and bevelled edges. Thanks to this, the iron will effortlessly glide over fabrics in all directions without catching on already ironed material. The shape of the soleplate was inspired by a snowboard. The Braun iron can even get into hard-to-reach places like seams, zips, ruffles, pleats and gathers. Ironing will now be even easier and faster.
iCare Technology with a Temperature for Every Fabric
With the new smart iCare technology, you can select the right temperature for ironing all types of fabrics. There's no need to pre-sort clothes by fabric type or properties. You no longer have to wait for the soleplate to heat up or cool down to the desired temperature. The Braun TexStyle 5 SI5188.BK iron will save you a lot of time and eliminate the risk of damaging the material.
Exceptionally Smooth EloxalPlus Soleplate
The EloxalPlus soleplate conducts heat perfectly and distributes it evenly over its entire surface. However, its main benefit is its glide and durability—2× harder than stainless steel. That's why the Braun TexStyle 5 SI5188.BK iron will perfectly press any fabric.
Precision Tip for Precise Ironing
The triangular tip with a steam outlet makes it easier to iron stubborn creases, even in places that are difficult to iron. The iron's precision tip reliably presses collars and seams.
Advanced Steam Technology
Set the steam output to your needs (0–50g/min) and achieve optimal laundry ironing results. The Braun TexStyle 5 SI5188.BK has a Turbo function that increases the power of the constant steam, which penetrates faster and deeper into the fabric. Press the button to activate the steam shot, which reaches an excellent value of 230g/min. This allows you to remove even the most stubborn creases. The steam vents are distributed over the entire soleplate, so the even steam output speeds up the entire ironing process. You can also use the Braun TexStyle 5 SI5188.BK for vertical steaming.
Heats Up Quickly
The high power ensures that the iron heats up very quickly. So if you're in a hurry, the Braun TexStyle 5 SI5188.BK won't slow you down when ironing.
Large Tank and Easy Water Refilling
The water tank has a 330ml capacity. You won't find yourself constantly running from the ironing board to refill it. What's more, the opening for filling the tank is larger, so the Braun iron is easier to fill with water. The ergonomically shaped lid is easier to open and close.
Care for a Long Iron Life
Proper maintenance ensures that the appliance lasts longer and produces high-quality ironing results. The Braun iron is suitable for tap water, but it needs to be descaled from time to time. This is a simple procedure that is described in detail in the enclosed manual.
Automatic Shut-off Function
The Braun TexStyle 5 SI5188.BK iron will automatically switch off after 8 minutes in a vertical position or after 30 seconds in a horizontal position. This not only saves energy but also ensures safe operation.
Doesn't Leave Wet Spots
You don't have to worry about the iron leaving unsightly wet spots on your clothes. The special AntiDrip function prevents water from dripping, which saves you time as you won't have to dry wet spots on your garments.
