The Casio AP 550 BN digital piano from the Celviano series is designed for discerning users who will appreciate its high-quality sound, realistic piano resonance, and sophisticated design. It offers 88 standard keys with a naturally balanced hammer action and 5 adjustable levels of touch sensitivity, which can also be turned off. The Smart Hybrid Hammer Action Celviano Edition keyboard, made from a combination of wood and resin, makes it feel like you are playing a classic grand piano. The white keys imitate ivory, while the black keys feature an ebony-like texture. It also includes transposition and temperament tuning options, with a choice of 17 tuning systems. A classic three-pedal unit is included. The piano is equipped with a 2-channel sound system with 4 speakers and a display for a current overview of the settings.

The Casio AP 550 BN offers a natural sound and rich harmonic resonance thanks to Multi-Dimensional Morphing AiR technology. The string resonance is exceptionally modelled, and the Mechanical Sound System achieves maximum authenticity by simulating mechanical sounds. You will be captivated by the transfer of expressive details and the smooth tonal changes depending on your playing style. You can also switch between 4 levels of tonal change, corresponding to the piano lid being open, closed, or in an intermediate position (Lid Simulator). The Lossless Audio Compression function guarantees beautiful and expressive piano tones.

The Casio AP 550 digital piano includes a wide range of options to liven up your playing. It features 26 sound tones, up to 256-note polyphony, and digital effects (4× hall, 4× chorus, 8× reverb, 2× surround, 7× brilliance, hammer response and pedal press simulation, and open-lid sound simulation). The Volume Sync Equaliser function achieves a balanced sound across all frequencies, even when playing the piano at a lower volume.
Offers various connectivity options
It also features a MIDI recorder for 1 track / 1 song. You can expand the memory with 10 user songs. Audio can be recorded to a USB flash drive (WAV format, max. 99 songs, max. file length of 25 minutes). The internal audio memory has a capacity of 18 minutes, and 60 demo songs are included for inspiration. The Instant RePlayer audio recorder records the last 270 seconds of your playing, with the option to play it back to instantly check your skills. A lesson function is also included. The piano can be connected to a PC via USB and also has Bluetooth connectivity and a headphone output with a specially tuned mode.

Using the included WU-BT10 Audio/MIDI adapter, you can wirelessly connect to a smart device, such as a mobile phone or tablet, which lets you play audio through the piano's sound system and communicate MIDI data. The CASIO MUSIC SPACE app offers a range of features that will further enhance your playing experience.
