Home Cinema with Dolby Atmos and a Range of Advanced Features
High-resolution 8K video playback is supported on all six HDMI inputs and two of the receiver's three outputs. What's more, advanced HLG, HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dynamic HDR passthrough functions enhance picture quality and compatibility. You can enhance your home cinema with a 5.1.4 speaker setup, which will allow you to enjoy 3D sound with Dolby Atmos technology. In addition, the DA Height Virtualization feature ensures that even without height speakers, you will feel as if the sound source is directly above your head. The Dolby Surround upmixer then effectively engages all speakers to create a 3D sound experience even from older audio content.
The Denon AVC-X3800H Offers Finely-Detailed Sound
One of the strengths of the AVC-X3800H receiver is the object-oriented DTS:X surround sound format, which creates a realistic 3D sound field by placing sounds in the correct place in the space around the listener. DTS Neural:X upmixer technology ensures a more realistic rendering for older content, while DTS Virtual:X provides quality sound even without height or rear speakers. Virtual height sound effects can be created in a 7.1, 5.1 or 2.1 speaker setup. There is also the Auro-3D audio format with sophisticated three-dimensional sound that transports you to the centre of the action, whether you're listening to music, watching films or playing games. The Denon AVC-X3800H also allows you to play music in 360 Reality Audio format (with the appropriate accessories).
Four Outputs for Active Subwoofers
The Denon AVC-X3800H amplifier is equipped with four outputs for active subwoofers, which effectively balance low frequencies and thus ensure better sound dispersion into the space. There are no audible peaks or dips—just powerful bass that fills the entire room. If you connect more than two subwoofers, you can individually adjust their performance to your preference. The AVC-X3800H receiver can also function as an effective AV pre-amplifier with an HDMI (ARC/eARC) connection. By disconnecting the internal amplifiers, the pre-amplifier mode provides a cleaner path for the audio signal with greater tolerance at the clipping level.
High-Quality Picture Thanks to HDR 10+ Technology
The Denon AVC-X3800H supports HDR (High Dynamic Range), HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), and Dynamic HDR and HDR10+ passthrough. HLG is specifically designed for television broadcasting and allows HDR content to be distributed without having to abandon existing standards. The HLG signal works on both new HDR televisions and older SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) televisions. Dynamic HDR and HDR10+ technologies then effectively use dynamic metadata to optimise shadows and brightness as scenes change. The receiver is also compatible with Dolby Vision, an advanced HDR imaging technology that delivers exceptionally bright pictures with realistic colour and contrast. The Denon AVC-X3800H amplifier supports 8K resolution, including the ability to upscale 4K content. It also features the latest HDCP 2.3 copy protection standard.
The Denon AVC-X3800H Offers High-Resolution Sound
The Denon AVC-X3800H AV receiver offers exceptional fidelity for high-resolution audio tracks, allowing you to enjoy music as the artist intended. The front USB port supports high-resolution audio playback up to 24bit/192kHz in MP3, WMA, WAV, MPEG-4/AAC, FLAC and ALAC formats. There is also the option of external two-channel amplification, which can be assigned to either the front left and right, or a pair of height channels. This allows you to set up an 11-channel speaker configuration (for example, 7.1.4), which provides even greater flexibility and a higher quality listening experience.
Built-in HEOS Streaming System
The Denon AVC-X3800H amplifier has a built-in HEOS service that enables convenient wireless music streaming from various free and premium streaming services using compatible HEOS components. Add Denon Home speakers to different rooms and control your music playback conveniently using the HEOS app. You can stream the same music in every room, or you can easily select a different music source for each space.
Easy Sound Setup with the Audyssey MultEQ Editor App
The Audyssey MultEQ Editor app allows for detailed sound setup and tuning, so you can optimally adjust it to the characteristics of your room or your preferences. This comprehensive app lets you harness the full power of Audyssey MultEQ XT32 technology, giving you complete control over your home cinema sound. The app is available for purchase in the iOS and Google Play stores. Optionally, you can also use Dirac Live, an advanced software system that optimises the sound of audio systems according to the specific acoustic conditions in the room.
