Lightweight lavalier microphone with high-quality audio recording for everyday use
The DJI Mic Mini 2 is a wireless microphone with ultra-compact dimensions and interchangeable magnetic covers,¹ which come in multiple colors. A total of three preset audio modes are available, and compatibility with various devices¹⁰ combined with DJI OsmoAudio technology ensures high-quality recording. Together with the magnetic charging case, it lasts up to 48 hours in operation. Omnidirectional audio capture with advanced ambient noise suppression expands its range of uses—from family moments and live events to filming in the cityor while cycling. With the windscreen attached, the transmitter effectively dampens wind noise and other disruptive influences. The DJI Mic Mini 2 achieves a range of up to 400 meters when using two transmitters and a receiver.¹⁶ After connecting the receiver or transmitter, the firmware can be updated¹¹ via the DJI Mimo app. The kit includes two transmitters, a receiver, and a charging case.

The DJI Mic Mini 2 stands out with its sleek and compact design. Standard magnetic front covers& nbsp;DJI Mic Mini 2 Multi-Color Magnetic Front Cover come in multiple colors. Additionally, you can purchase one of eight color options or four special covers from the Time Series edition designed by internationally renowned illustrator Victo Ngai. Weighing just 11g⁹, it feels almost weightless when worn. The removable swivel magnetic clip allows for flexible angle adjustment from various angles. The package includes a universal chargingcase for charging, transporting, and storing the transmitter, receiver, and other accessories.

The DJI Mic Mini 2 offers two levels of noise cancellation⁵ for clear recording indoors and outdoors. There are also three preset modes⁴ to adapt to specific conditions:

The compact Mic Mini 2 supports wireless audio recording from all directions. The swivel clip helps keep the microphone properly aimed at the sound source, contributing to stable recording quality at 48kHz and 24-bit depth. The automatic volume limiting feature reduces excessively strong input signals and helps maintain consistent audio quality.

The DJI Mimo app features Safety Track, which allows the DJI Mic Mini 2 to record in two tracks. The main track records audio at normal volume, while the second track is 6 dB quieter to prevent clipping.⁶ This solution is particularly suitable for live broadcasts or dynamic filming. Gain can be adjusted in five levels using the rotary control on the receiver.

The lavalier microphone uses the DJI Mic Mini receiver for easy pairing with cameras, smartphones, computers, and tablets.³ The DJI Mic Mini receiver and DJI Mic Series Mobile support wireless audio transmission with up to two transmitters and one receiver. The DJI Mic Mini 2 offers two modes—Green Light and Blue Light. The DJI OsmoAudio app allows you to connect various devices

The Mic Mini 2 offers long battery life. The transmitter lasts up to 11.5 hours, and the receiver approximately 10.5 hours.¹² With a fully charged case, the total runtime can be extended up to 48 hours.⁸ Fast charging provides approximately one hour of runtime after just 5 minutes of charging. Automatic power saving¹⁴ optimizes power consumption and, in the event of a signal loss, the device enters sleep mode until the connection is restored. The mobile app also allows you to set the device to automaticallyswitch to power-saving mode. The automatic on/off function synchronized with the camera also contributes to energy savings.¹⁵

Microphone PrinciplesDynamic microphones are suitable for open-air performances, live broadcasts, music production, etc. They use a magnet and a moving coil to capture sound.
Condenser microphones are primarily used for studio purposes. They have higher sensitivity and lower noise. They require a separate power source.
Frequency RangeThe frequency range specifies the range of frequencies that the microphone can capture. The wider the range, the more sounds it can capture.
Low frequencies (e.g., 20–200Hz): Bass, the deepest tones of instruments (double bass, bass drum) and male voices.
Mid frequencies (e.g., 200–3000Hz): The body of instruments, the fundamental of the voice (where the ear is most sensitive), and important for speech intelligibility.
High frequencies (e.g., 3000–14000Hz): Treble, details, sibilants, and the "shine" of the sound.
Ultrahigh frequencies (above 14,000Hz): Gives recordings a sense of expensive,high-quality sound and spaciousness.
SensitivityMicrophone sensitivity is the ratio of output voltage to sound pressure. It indicates how loud a signal the microphone produces at a given sound pressure level; higher sensitivity means a stronger voltage and is suitable for quiet studios, while lower sensitivity is better for noisy environments because it amplifies ambient noise less unnecessarily.
¹ Sold separately. Magnetic front covers are included as standard accessories with the DJI Mic Mini 2 kit (2 transmitters + 1 receiver), so there is no need to purchase them separately.
² The charging case can hold transmitters with the windshield and magnetic front cover attached, even with a magnet or magnetic clip attached. You can store the magnet and magnetic clip or the audio adapter cable inside the lid of the charging case. When storing a DJI Mic series mobile receiver, you can store the magnet or magnetic clip on the left sideinside the lid of the charging case, while only the magnet can be stored on the right side. To prevent damage to the product, do not stack multiple items on top of each other in the charging case.
³ The DJI Mic Mini Receiver supports combined connection to DJI Mic Mini/DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters, allowing up to two transmitters to be connected at once. The DJI Mic series mobile receiver supports simultaneous connection to DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic 3, DJI Mic Mini, or DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters, with up to two transmitters connectable at once. For details, visit the DJI Mic Mini 2 website in the “Downloads” section, which lists the compatibility of DJI Mic series mobile receivers with various models.
⁴ Preset audio modes can be selected in the DJI Mimo app, with “Regular” as the default setting. This feature is not supported if the transmitter is directly connected to the phone via Bluetooth.
⁵ The Strong and Basic noise reduction levels can be set via the DJI Mimo app or directly in the device interface when using an Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, or Osmo Action6 connected to one or more transmitters via DJI OsmoAudio Direct Connection. If the transmitter is directly connected to a phone, the noise cancellation level cannot be adjusted in the DJI Mimo app; the default setting is Strong. The noise cancellation switch on the DJI Mic series mobile receiver allows for quick adjustment of noise cancellation levels (Off = O, Low = L, High = H).
⁶ When the DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter is connected to a DJI Mic Mini receiver or a DJI Mic series mobile receiver, this feature is enabled by default and can beturned on or off via the DJI Mimo app. If the transmitter is connected directly to a phone via Bluetooth, this feature is enabled by default and cannot be disabled. If an Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, or Osmo Action 6 device is connected directly via OsmoAudio, the settings can be adjusted on the product interface.
⁷ DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters can be connected directly to select DJI products (up to two transmitters for the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6). Transmitter battery life when connected directly isapproximately 7 to 8 hours. In the future, support will be expanded to other DJI products. For details, visit the DJI Mic Mini 2 webpage in the “Downloads” section of OsmoAudio.
⁸ Measured using a DJI Mic Mini 2 kit (2 transmitters + 1 receiver + charging case) paired with a fully charged charging case, with noise cancellation turned off, while recording audio up close in an open environment free of interference and obstacles, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and the receiver connected to the camera via a Camera AudioCable (3.5 mm TRS).
⁹ The weight of a single transmitter does not include the magnetic clip and magnet.
¹⁰ For a list of compatible devices, visit the “Downloads” page on the official DJI Mic Mini 2 website.
¹¹ When connected directly to a smartphone via Bluetooth, the transmitter does not support audio recording using the phone’s native camera app; it only works with third-party apps. A list of compatible apps can be found on the “Downloads” page of the official DJI Mic Mini 2 website.
¹² Measured in acontrolled test environment. Actual results may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version.
¹³ Measurements were taken in a controlled environment, with the transmitter and receiver batteries at less than 25% charge , using a charger with an output voltage of 5 V, with noise suppression disabled, while recording audio at close range in interference-free conditions, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and the receiver connected to the camera via a 3.5 mm TRS cable.
¹⁴ This feature is only effectivewhen the device is powered on. If the automatic power-off feature for the transmitter and receiver is enabled in the DJI Mimo app, both devices will automatically power off if no pairing signal is detected after 15 minutes.
¹⁵ If the receiver is connected to the camera via the DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter and the camera is not in video recording mode or switches to playback mode, the receiver may automatically turn off and will not automatically turn back on when the camera is turned on. This depends on the camera’s technicalspecifications and may vary depending on the camera’s brand and model. Please verify the details based on your own experience with use.
¹⁶& nbsp; When used with the DJI Mic Mini receiver and two DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters, the transmission range can reach up to 400 meters in an open environment without interference or obstacles. When used with a DJI Mic series mobile receiver and connected to two DJI Mic Mini 2 or DJI Mic Mini transmitters in Green Light mode, the maximum reach up to 300 meters in an open environment without interference orobstacles.
