The EATON EBM 5PX 48V RT2U Gen2 external battery module extends the backup time for compatible second-generation 5PX backup power supplies. It connects to the main line-interactive topology units, which operate at up to 98% efficiency. The 2U design allows for standard installation in 19" rack cabinets. The module's overall dimensions are 85.5×438×448mm and it weighs 27.8kg. After connection, the main UPS unit automatically detects the presence of the external battery module and immediately recalculates the total available backup time. The system also supports daisy-chaining multiple battery modules to further increase capacity.
