The EATON UPS 5P 650iR Gen2 UPS is a professional line-interactive UPS that reliably protects network and IT infrastructure. The UPS provides a real power output of 520W, which is sufficient capacity to power servers, switches and other sensitive devices. Thanks to its line-interactive topology and integrated automatic voltage regulation (AVR), it effectively corrects network fluctuations without needing to switch to battery. The compact Rack UPS 1U design saves valuable space in the data cabinet while offering high power density. At half load, it supplies power for up to 432 minutes, and at full load, for 66 minutes, providing enough time for a controlled system shutdown. High efficiency of up to 97% reduces operating costs and heat generation.

Performance and efficiency

The line-interactive topology with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) corrects both undervoltage and overvoltage without switching to battery. The EATON UPS 5P 650iR Gen2 UPS saves battery capacity for a complete power outage. It offers an apparent power of 650VA and a real power of 520W with high efficiency of up to 97%. The LCD display clearly shows key operating statuses and measured values.

Battery management and protection

The EATON UPS 5P 650iR Gen2 UPS contains two lead-acid, maintenance-free batteries (2×6V/9Ah) that can be easily hot-swapped by the user without having to shut down connected devices. Eaton ABM+ charging technology extends battery life by up to 50% and provides predictive analysis of its condition. It protects against deep discharge and regularly tests the batteries for optimal condition.

Management and monitoring options

For local management, the EATON UPS 5P 650iR Gen2 offers USB (HID compatible) and RS-232 ports. For advanced network management, remote monitoring or safe shutdown of virtual servers, there is an expansion slot where an optional communication card, such as the Network-M3, can be installed. The Eaton Brightlayer software suite ensures integration into virtualisation platforms and cloud tools.

Connectivity and sockets

Connect the input power with a standard IEC C14 connector. To power connected devices, the EATON UPS 5P 650iR Gen2 UPS offers four backed-up IEC C13 sockets, which can be divided into two controlled segments to optimise backup time. The package also includes two IEC-IEC jumper cables. The Mini-terminal block handles remote power on and off.
