Enterol contains as a medicinal substance the microorganism Saccharomyces boulardii strain CNCM I-745, which belongs to the group of anti-diarrhoeal microorganisms. Saccharomyces boulardii passes through the digestive tract and causes its biological effect there without colonizing it. They inhibit the action of certain undesirable (pathogenic) microorganisms and/or their toxins that are responsible for diarrhoeal diseases (especially Clostridium difficile and Vibrio cholerae).

Enterol® is used:
- For the supportive treatment of acute infectious diarrhoea in children and adults
- For the prevention of infant diarrhoea
- For the supportive treatment of irritable bowel syndrome
- For the treatment and prevention of diarrhoea caused by antibiotics
- For the treatment and prevention of inflammation of the colon (colitis)
How to take Enterol®?
- Adults and children from 4 years: 1 - 2 capsules 1 - 2 × daily
- Children under 4 years: 1 - 2 capsules per day
- Swallow the capsule whole and drink a sufficient amount of liquid.
- When administered to infants and children under 3 years of age, open the capsules and mix the contents with water, a favorite beverage, food, or food in a feeding bottle.
You can mix the contents of the capsule with liquid or food, even for patients who have trouble swallowing whole capsules. Mix the contents of the bag with water, food or your favourite drink. The preparation must not be taken with very cold or very hot drinks or food! Do not mix with alcohol!

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, talk to your doctor or pharmacist sooner, before taking this medicine.
What does Enterol® contain?
One hard capsule contains Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 siccatus 250.0 mg (equivalent to at least 1×109 viable cells) and further excipients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, gelatin, titanium dioxide.

Storage
This medicine does not require any special storage conditions. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. The shelf-life of the product packaged in a glass bottle is 6 months after first opening if stored at a temperature below 25 °C.
Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
