Forlax is used in the symptomatic treatment of constipation in adults and children aged 8 years and above. The effect will take 24 - 48 hours. Orange - grapefruit flavour. It is not absorbed into the bloodstream or stored in the body FORLAX contains the active ingredient macrogol 4000 and belongs to a group of drugs called osmotic laxatives. It works by increasing the water content of your stool, which will help overcome problems caused by very slow bowel movements. FORLAX is not absorbed into the bloodstream or broken down in the body. Package contains 20 bags.
Dosage and method of use
The recommended dose is 1 to 2 sachets per day, preferably as a single dose in the morning. The daily dose can be adjusted according to the effect achieved and can range from one sachet per day (especially for children) to a maximum of two sachets per day. Stir the contents of the sachets in a glass of water (at least 50 ml) immediately before use and drink the liquid. Do not take FORLAX for more than 2 weeks without consulting your doctor. If your problems persist after 2 weeks of treatment, consult your doctor.
Contraindications
Children may take FORLAX only after consulting a doctor. FORLAX can be taken during pregnancy and during breastfeeding. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. Read the package insert carefully.
