The Fractal Design HDD cage Kit Type B is a straightforward way to increase the storage capacity in specific computer cases. This mounting kit is designed for installation in Fractal Design Define 7 and Meshify 2 cases, specifically the full-size and XL versions. The cage can hold two Fractal Design Type-B drive trays, which are designed for installing two 3.5" or 2.5" hard drives. This allows you to efficiently use the internal space for more data without disrupting the component layout. To get started, you will need to purchase the drive trays separately as they are not included in the package.

Flexible Cage Installation
The cage can be installed either in the standard positions specifically designed for hard drive mounting within the case, or alternatively, in unoccupied fan positions. The design allows you to use free 120mm fan positions with a mounting hole spacing of 105 × 105mm. This versatility gives you freedom when configuring the internal layout, turning unused space into functional data storage.
Construction and Capacity
You can fit up to two Fractal Design Type-B drive trays into the cage, which must be purchased separately. To ensure a secure fit and reduce operating vibrations from mechanical drives, the design uses four-point support for each tray. This solution contributes to a quieter system. Additionally, the top of the cage includes a set of mounting holes ready for the direct attachment of one 2.5" SSD or HDD.
