Dune Awakening: Day One Edition - PS5
Based on the Book and Film
As a Bene Gesserit agent, you will travel to the inhospitable planet of Arrakis, where Dune: Awakening PS5 opens up a brand new story inspired by the famous book and film saga. You will explore Arrakeen, the Hagga Basin, and the hidden caves of the Fremen, meet Duke Leto Atreides or Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, and uncover the secrets of a vanished nation.
Alone or With Friends
In Dune: Awakening PS5, the planet's vast world offers freedom in exploration, building, and crafting equipment. You choose whether to venture into the desert alone or join forces with friends, build your own base, and begin to establish a powerful empire.
Learn the Martial Arts
The dangers of Arrakis will test your abilities at every turn, and Dune: Awakening PS5 will pit you face-to-face with sandworms, the scorching sun, and devastating storms. You will master the skills of the Empire's schools, use the Bene Gesserit Voice, the traps of the Mentats, or the martial arts of the Swordmasters.
DESERT
Open-World Survival Action
A huge open world awaits you on the surface of Arrakis, where Dune: Awakening PS5 combines survival, action, and a vast online adventure. Use a Shigawire hook to climb high peaks, build your own ornithopter, and soar over the endless dunes of the Deep Desert. In addition to the desert areas, you'll visit the bustling streets of Arrakeen and discover places hidden deep beneath the sand.
STORY
In an Alternate Universe
The story that Dune: Awakening PS5 tells will take you to an alternate version of the well-known universe, where you will navigate between the Atreides and Harkonnen houses. Over time, you will gain influence, uncover the truth about your own past, and delve into the question of what the fate of Arrakis would have been if Paul Atreides had never been born. Every decision will affect the further development of your adventure.
SURVIVAL
Voice Manipulation as a Weapon
Surviving in the harsh climate of Dune: Awakening PS5 requires thorough preparation and smart resource management. You will learn to obtain water, and craft specialised tools, weapons, and useful desert equipment. You will have access to the abilities of a Trooper, the voice manipulation of the Bene Gesserit, and the elaborate strategies of the Mentats, which will expand your combat and exploration possibilities.
BASE
Build Your Own Fortress
Part of the world of Dune: Awakening PS5 is a sophisticated building and crafting system, allowing you to create your own base, from small outposts to sprawling fortresses. Individual buildings can be customised with Atreides, Harkonnen, and other architectural styles, and complemented with spice refineries or manufacturing facilities. In addition to the official servers, you can also use your own server, and from 22 September, you can look forward to a full-fledged single-player mode along with other game expansions and adjustments.
