Onimusha: The Way of the Sword immerses you in a dark and bloody story set in the Edo period in Kyoto, Japan. Get ready for intense sword fights where every blow decides life or death. Each mission is filled with mystery, danger and suspense.

As a samurai, you embark on a journey of revenge and knowledge. Your only ally is the Oni Glove, a mystical artifact that grants you superhuman strength. With it, you can confront the creatures of the underworld called Genma, who threaten not only you, but also the flow of history itself.

Onimusha is not just about fighting, it is also a spiritual quest. Where does the real power lie? In anger, courage or inner peace? You will find the answer to this question at the end of a journey that will take you through a world full of demons, intrigue and Japanese mysticism.

SAMURAI
Miyamoto Musashi is the protagonist of Onimusha: Way of the Sword PS5. A young, determined and fiery samurai arrives in Kyoto with one goal in mind: to prove that he has no equal in the art of swordsmanship. But his journey to fame soon takes an unexpected turn, full of dark trials, supernatural forces and inner dilemmas. Capcom brought this character to life not only through story and gameplay mechanics, but also visually, with Musashi's face inspired by legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune, an icon of samurai cinema. As a result, Musashi comes across not only as a relentless warrior, but also as a tribute to a classic Japanese hero whose strength is as strong as his honour.

DÉMONI
Genma are terrifying demons from the depths of hell, brought into the world of the living by the dark miasma enveloping Kyoto. This otherworldly rage tore the boundary between life and death, allowing demons to flood the streets of the once peaceful city. Their presence brought only pain and fear, and the massacres, attacks and constant threats turned Kyoto into a nightmare. Prominent among these beasts are the Hitotsume Gasa, one-legged demons that attack in packs with weapons in hand and without mercy. Whether they swing a sword, shoot arrows or shield themselves with a shield, their sole purpose is to kill and devour all living things. They are driven only by primitive instincts, without emotion, without purpose, except the desire to spread death.

GLOVES
Events in Onimusha: PS5's Way of the Sword revolves around Musashi and his mysterious Oni Glove, an artifact that grants him superhuman strength and makes him the terror of the demonic Genma. The gauntlet is a tool of destruction, but also a key to a deeper understanding of the dark force that is sweeping the human world. It allows him to absorb the souls of defeated enemies, not only strengthening Musashi's abilities but also revealing something far more sinister. Each absorption of the soul seemed to release a mysterious voice from the glove, whispering, urgent, perhaps even warning. Who or what is speaking to him? Is it a guide, a curse, or perhaps the voice of Oni himself? This question runs through the whole game.

WHERE
Scenery in Onimusha: Way of the Sword PS5 plays a key role in building the atmosphere of the game. The story is set in historic Kyoto, a city famous for its magnificent shrines and temples, of which the iconic Kiyomizu-dera is one of the visual and symbolic highlights. However, this spiritual centre of Japan has been transformed into a dark and terrifying place infested with a miasma that corrodes not only the streets and buildings, but also human souls. Famous monuments are turned into ruins, sacred spaces are desecrated and natural beauty radiates unease. Every step through the streets of Kyoto is accompanied by a chilling uncertainty, Genma may be lurking around the corner, or something even worse. The contrast between the spiritual purity of traditional Japan and its sudden descent into darkness creates a powerful and visually striking frame.
