In the distant future, humanity faces its greatest threat in R-Type Dimensions III PS5. The Bydo Empire, a terrifying biomechanical life form, can corrupt and devour everything it touches. Originally, the Bydo was created by humans as a weapon, but the experiment spiraled out of control and the entity began to exist outside of normal space and time. After several devastating wars and events on the brink of annihilation, the Bydo returns again, stronger, more adaptable and more aggressive than ever.
RAGNAROK
The Earth Space Corps is therefore deploying its state-of-the-art R-90 Ragnarok fighter, the next generation of the legendary R-Type ships. As its pilot, you venture into extremely inhospitable zones that constantly shift between normal reality and the warped dimension of Bydo. Your goal in R-Type Dimensions III PS5 is to penetrate deep into enemy territory, disrupt key structures of the empire and destroy its very core before it consumes all of humanity.
ARCADE
R-Type Dimensions III PS5 brings the intensity, precise gameplay and imaginative enemy design of the original arcade titles into the modern day. Each level, boss and shooting pattern has been recreated using detailed 3D graphics, fluid animations and richly crafted environments, while retaining the dark atmosphere and uncompromising challenge that are typical of the R-Type series.

Building on the foundation of R-Type Dimensions and R-Type Dimensions EX, a completely redesigned edition with modern visuals, sound and expanded game modes has been created.
