The Gigabyte Aorus Waterforce II 360 Ice liquid cooler is a complete, closed-loop liquid cooling set that efficiently dissipates heat from high-performance processors. This AIO cooler is built around a radiator and a trio of fans, which work together to maintain low operating temperatures even under load. The entire design prioritises simplified installation with the Fan EZ-Chain system and quiet operation thanks to redesigned fan blades. Support for the future Intel 1851 socket also confirms its readiness for the next generation of hardware.
The Fan EZ-Chain system fundamentally simplifies mounting fans to the radiator and the subsequent cable management. It uses a slide-in mechanism that mechanically connects the fans, and a daisy-chain connection for power and ARGB signal transmission. This solution significantly reduces the number of cables needed to connect to the motherboard and makes it easier to keep them neatly organised inside the PC case, which contributes to better airflow.
The fans, equipped with fluid dynamic bearings (FDB), have a redesigned blade shape to optimise performance. The enlarged lower section of the blades increases static pressure, while the smaller upper section boosts airflow volume. Serrated blade edges reduce turbulence and the associated noise. The rounded design of the fan hub helps to draw in air more smoothly, leading to more efficient radiator cooling while maintaining a low noise level.
The water block on the processor features a rotatable top section, which increases installation flexibility. The design, which enables the top to rotate, provides freedom during assembly and when routing the hoses so they do not obstruct tall memory modules or motherboard heatsinks. This versatility also maintains the correct horizontal orientation of the Aorus logo, regardless of the final hose position, promoting a clean look for the entire build.
The cooler supports a wide range of Intel and AMD sockets, including common platforms like Intel 1700 and AMD AM5. The package also includes a mounting kit for the upcoming Intel 1851 socket, which extends compatibility to future processors without the need to purchase additional accessories. This readiness for the next generation of hardware confirms the cooler's long-term usability.
The heart of the cooling circuit is a pump with an adjustable speed ranging from 1600 to 3400 RPM, ensuring smooth and efficient circulation of the cooling liquid. The integrated ARGB lighting on both the fans and the water block is fully addressable and can be synchronised with other components in your build via your motherboard manufacturer's software. This gives you control over the lighting effects and colour schemes of the entire system.
