The GIGABYTE B840 GAMING X motherboard with Wi-Fi 6E is the backbone for building a gaming or work PC on the AMD AM5 platform. The B840 GAMING X board with Wi-Fi 6E is ready for high-speed DDR5 memory with support for EXPO/XMP profiles and overclocked frequencies up to 8200MT/s. For ultra-fast data transfers and game loading, it provides two M.2 slots with a PCIe 4.0 interface, complemented by a third M.2 slot and classic SATA ports. Modern connectivity offers fast 2.5GbE LAN and a Wi-Fi 6E wireless module, which extends connectivity to the 6GHz band and ensures a cleaner signal. Powerful power system
The GIGABYTE B840 GAMING X motherboard with Wi-Fi 6E has a powerful power system. The manufacturer has designed the digital power delivery in a 12+2+2 phase configuration, where 6+6 phases supply the VCORE cores, 2 phases serve the SOC and 2 phases are for MISC. A stable power supply to the processor is ensured by a combination of 8+4 pin connectors with UD Solid Pin technology. The advanced all-metal thermal solution with massive VRM heatsinks maintains low temperatures even under high loads.
Memory and fast storage
The board allows you to install up to 256GB of DDR5 RAM in four slots, with overclocking up to 8200MT/s. AMD EXPO and XMP profiles make it easy to set high frequencies. Storage space is provided by three M.2 slots for fast SSDs, two of which use the PCIe 4.0 interface and one PCIe 3.0. These are complemented by four SATA III ports for additional drives.
Expansion slots and connectivity
For installing a graphics card, there is a primary PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. You can install other expansion cards in the PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (runs in x4 mode) and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. The rear panel offers USB ports, including a fast USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2, and HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 video outputs for processors with an integrated graphics core.
Network connection and user features
A fast and stable network connection is provided by a 2.5GbE LAN port and a Wi-Fi 6E wireless module with support for 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz bands. Bluetooth 5.3 is also included. Component installation is simplified by features like M.2 EZ-Latch for tool-free drive installation and PCIe EZ-Latch for easy removal of the graphics card. The Q-FLASH Plus feature enables BIOS updates without a processor or memory installed.
