The Grandstream GWN7660 WiFi Access Point is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) device designed for business environments with high user density. This enterprise Wi-Fi 6 Access Point combines MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies to efficiently serve over 500 concurrently connected client devices. It offers an aggregated wireless throughput of 1774.5Mbps and advanced Quality of Service (QoS) management features. With a signal range of up to 175 metres and advanced security features, including WPA3 and secure boot, it supports deployment in offices, hotels, and educational institutions. Integrated management options via the cloud, a local controller, or a mobile app provide flexibility for network configuration and maintenance.

Wi-Fi connectivity and speed
The Grandstream GWN7660 operates on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with support for the Wi-Fi 6 standard. On the 2.4GHz band, it offers speeds of 573.5Mbps, while the 5GHz band provides 1201Mbps. To efficiently distribute the signal and serve multiple clients simultaneously, it uses 2×2:2 MU-MIMO and DL/UL OFDMA technologies. The Beamforming feature actively directs the signal towards connected devices, improving connection strength and stability.
Coverage and capacity
The access point covers an area with a range of up to 175m. Its architecture is built to serve over 500 concurrently connected client devices. To ensure the smooth operation of latency-sensitive applications like video calls or online games, it integrates advanced QoS (Quality of Service) features that prioritise data traffic according to set rules.
Management and security
Network security is ensured by support for modern WPA3 and WPA2-Enterprise encryption standards. Protection against unauthorised access includes secure boot, digital signatures to lock down critical data, and a unique security certificate for each device. Management is flexible across multiple platforms: a built-in controller for up to 50 local APs, the GDMS cloud service, or the GWN Manager local software controller.
Connectivity
The device offers two Gigabit Ethernet ports for connecting to a wired network. This configuration enables flexible installation and the potential for linking other network elements. The access point is powered exclusively via Ethernet using PoE (802.3af) or PoE+ (802.3at) standards.
