Construction and load capacity of the shelving unit
The foundation of the shelving unit consists of a galvanised steel frame with eight uprights. Five shelves made of 6mm-thick medium-density fibreboard (MDF) are placed onto the frame. Each shelf supports an evenly distributed load of up to 150kg, giving a total load capacity of 750kg. Plastic end caps finish the uprights, and plastic connectors join the individual parts together. This makes the shelving unit perfect for storing heavier items in workshops and warehouses.
