Refresh and expand the board game classic Carcassonne
Carcassonne: The Abbey and the Mayor is one of a series of expansions of one of the most successful board games of our time. The tactical game Carcassonne has won a number of prestigious awards and has become a staple not only of family game nights. Players gradually lay out the pieces of the medieval landscape on which they place their pieces to control the towns, roads and fields to score as many points as possible. The Abbey and Mayor expansion adds additional landscape cards, Abbey cards and three new pieces for each player (Mayor, Chariot and Barn) to the game, increasing the strategic depth and variety of the game. Carcassonne Expansion: Abbey and Mayor is designed for 2-6 players aged 8 and up. One game will take approximately 30 minutes to play.

New elements for greater variability
In addition to the 12 landscape tiles, the Abbey and Mayor expansion brings four brand new elements. Abbey pieces are placed in the spaces between the 4 pieces and are ranked the same as monasteries. Players place Mayor pieces on top of the City pieces and gain a power equal to the number of Coats of Arms in the City when evaluating superiority. The carriage figures are placed on roads, in the city or in the monastery and can be moved to other unfinished elements when the occupied building is closed. The last addition is the barn pieces, which players can place in the corner of the four adjacent bows where they added the fourth and final piece. The moment the barn is placed, the peasants and pigs in this meadow are immediately assessed and returned to their owners.
