A special user mode “00” contains four separate time periods, while the memory mode “99” is used to save your modifications to the preset modes. During a game, the time can be easily changed and the number of moves checked, which helps arbiters when adding time penalties. When the clock is turned off and on again, the last used parameters are retained, unless you remove the battery.
