In The Witcher: Old World you will become a trained adept of one of the five schools of spellcasting, as the Continent will no longer be a safe place after the Conjunction of the Spheres. Fight for the honour and recognition of your school, confront dangerous beasts and tell your own story in the Old World. Dangerous cities and wilderness await you, as exploration and event cards force you to make a series of difficult moral decisions. Fight with scary monsters and become a legend. The Witcher: Old World is designed for one to 5 players aged 14 and up. The game is suitable for both experienced players who will appreciate the sophisticated combat and deck building system, as well as for beginners who will be drawn into an atmospheric world full of surprises.
In The Witcher: The Old World takes you back to a time long before the stories of the famous Geralt of Rivia. The continent is in chaos after the Conjunction of the Spheres, which brought magic and with it terrifying monsters. As a newly trained spellcaster from one of the five schools, you venture out into the world to battle monsters, complete dangerous quests and gain glory for yourself and your school.
You'll travel across a vast map, explore cities and wilderness, and experience exciting adventures through exploration and event cards. Your decisions can have far-reaching consequences, so choose wisely. Fight monsters with a sophisticated card combination system that allows you to create powerful attacks and defensive manoeuvres. You must not forget about preparing the right potions and choosing the right equipment. But beware - you're not the only spellcaster on the Continent. You will compete with other players for prestige and trophies. The game ends when one of the players gets the fourth trophy, so every move can decide the victory.
