Liposomal absorption and bioavailability of vitamin C

Vitamin C is water-soluble and has a hydrophilic character, which is why its absorption from the intestine into the blood is limited by the intestinal fat barrier and transporters. For example, when taking a single dose of 1,000mg, up to 80% of this amount is excreted without the body being able to use it effectively. The aim of liposomal technology is to 'lend' vitamin C a lipophilic character and thus ensure its liposomal absorption, as this absorption is not limited to the same extent by the capacity of intestinal transport molecules, and ensures the absorption of a substantially larger amount of vitamin C. The liposomal absorption of vitamin C thus maintains a level in the body that is several times higher, as well as its availability for the antioxidant protection of healthy cells and especially for the immune and nervous systems. Thanks to its effective and gradual absorption into the body, it is also gentle on the kidneys and digestive system.

LIPO C ASKOR Forte has high bioavailability

The decisive factor in evaluating the quality of a product is not so much its manufacturing technology, but proof that the product ensures a sufficiently high degree of bioavailability, i.e., the plasma level of vitamin C in the blood. This issue was addressed in a published study (Boženský et al., 2021) evaluating plasma concentrations of vitamin C after a single dose (1 gram), with the results confirming the high bioavailability of liposomal vitamin C absorption in the case of RosaCelip-LD (Lipo C Askor Forte).

LIPO C ASKOR comes with URO C KONTROL test strips

The test strips (in vitro medical device URO-C-KONTROL®) are used for the indicative determination of the concentration of ascorbic acid in the urine. The test result should be evaluated by a doctor. Half a minute after being dipped in fresh urine, the colour of the strip provides indicative information about a possible ascorbic acid deficiency in the body and its extent. Ideally (yellow colour), you should continue with the current dosage, or in case of a vitamin C deficiency in the body (green colour), increase the daily dose. This procedure is very important because the body's daily need for and consumption of vitamin C is based mainly on its current mental and physical load. Dosage:

Adults:
1–2 capsules 2× a day (in the morning on an empty stomach and in the evening)

Children from 6 years of age:
1 capsule a day, with a sufficient amount of liquid, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
