A task for a jester

In Bohemia, a dramatic situation occurred before the Hussite storms of 1402-1403. King Wenceslas IV. is deprived of the government by his brother Sigismund and eventually imprisoned in Vienna, the country is plundered by nomadic Cumans and at the same time there is a civil war between the followers of Wenceslas and Sigismund. Václav Podrychtář from the Black Horse is removed from office by the new city council. He doesn't take it well at all, but eventually he is able to accept the offer of the Brotherhood of the Hoop and Hammer, who want to send him to Vienna. There, he is to try to free the king with the help of the king's jester Kotrmelc, the knight of the Order Bohuňek and the former biřics.
