DVD Film - DVD film Volga [2023]. Czech series. 2 discs. Dolby Digital. Standa Pekárek has three wishes in his life: driving the Volga, driving for the Humor and Folk Entertainment editorial staff, and driving the Gothamist. The five-part miniseries Volga is an adaptation of Karel Hynia's novel of the same name, written in an extraordinary, bizarre and precisely eavesdropped language. It can be perceived as a peculiar history of Czechoslovak television with a number of unbelievable, though real, "stories from filming". At the same time, however, it is a portrait of its protagonist - a limited egocentric who excels in devising small tricks and tricks - how to steal petrol, fake mileage, cheat his wife, get rid of the competition. Logically, he also becomes a StB collaborator (with the code name Volha) who informs on all his colleagues and passengers without any remorse.
DVD Film - A great fairy tale with nice songs that literally became a hit! "Goldilocks", based on Erben's novel, already shone on the TV screen when it premiered and its repetition is always a success. It is no wonder that the writer and director Vlasta Janečková managed to tell the story of Jiřík and the golden-haired princess so impressively. The main roles were played by excellent actors - Jorga Kotrbová, Petr Štěpánek and Jiří Holý. And composer Angelo Mikhailov and lyricist Eduard Krečmar created real fairy-tale hits.
