Wild Sign – dark magic in the woods
In the forest, in a remote settlement full of strange symbols, an old, evil magic has awakened. It erases memories and brings back those from the distant past that everyone would rather forget. What's more, it's trying to multiply and leave powerful traces in the world. Or perhaps even offspring?
The inhabitants of the forest town of Wild Sign have disappeared. The land belongs to Bran's mate, so Anna and Charles, members of this pack of werewolf troublemakers, have their work cut out for them. Meanwhile, a magical song is spreading from the woods, and it doesn't bode well… Dive into taming the wild magic in the latest addition to the Alpha and Omega series, titled Wild Sign.
Patricia Briggs has crafted another intricate and thrilling story from the world of the pack led by the most powerful of werewolves.
Patricia Briggs
Patricia Briggs' first novel, Masques, was published in 1993. The book was not a success, and the author's career almost ended before it began. Fortunately, her second novel, Steal the Dragon (1995), sold much better, and her writing career slowly took off. The growing popularity of her books, along with her ability to create vivid, compelling characters, inspired a publisher to ask if she would try writing a modern urban fantasy. Briggs accepted the challenge and signed a contract for a series of novels starring Mercy Thompson. Smoke Bitten (2020) is the latest, twelfth instalment in the successful series and universe. The first book in the Mercy Thompson series (Moon Called) made it onto the USA Today bestseller list. The second volume, Blood Bound, in turn, placed on the New York Times bestseller list. Iron Kissed, the third book, even took the top spot on this prestigious list. The success was so enormous that more instalments of this still-unfinished series are being created. The author also came up with a spin-off series, Alpha & Omega, which is also published by Fantom Print alongside the main Mercedes Thompson series.
