Falco: Sterben Um Zu Leben
Music CD Falco invented German rap. In 1985, he even topped the US charts with "Rock Me Amadeus", singing in Manhattan-Schönbrunn German – a mixture of English and Viennese dialect. Long before rap became popular in Germany, his provocative style, penchant for hard drugs and heavy partying, combined with a mainstream boycott, foreshadowed the reputation of an entire generation of German rappers. In 1998, Falco crashed and died with alcohol, cocaine and marijuana in his system. Now, 20 years later, Falco's first collaborative album "Sterben um zu Leben" is released, bringing him together with his contemporary peers for the very first time.
