In the nettles
An originally constructed novel about guilt from the author of crime novels with crime writer Tomas Volf
This time Jiří Březina left the criminal Tomáš Volf. He plays out a new detective story with different characters and uses an unusual narrative approach. In addition to the investigation, the book focuses on two female protagonists perceiving the crime from a different perspective.
Jana suspects that the man she is pregnant with is hiding something. He has to uncover the truth. Radka discovers that her son has done something that cannot be undone. He has to protect him from the consequences. And in the nettles lies a girl's body. In a small town where people can see into each other's kitchens but keep secrets from each other, an investigation is launched that will reveal facts that have been withheld for years. The past is coming to the surface and with it the questions that hurt: How well do we know our loved ones? And how far are we ultimately able to go to protect them?
