The Final Ritual

The mutilated body of German history student Harald is found at the University of Iceland with a bloody magic rune carved into his chest. The victim's family hires German criminal investigator Matthew and Icelandic lawyer Thóra to uncover the truth about the case, which the police are handling rather sluggishly. It turns out that Harald was not only keenly interested in the history of witchcraft trials, but was also actively involved in black magic, gathering other people with similar interests around him. Thóra and Matthew therefore start looking for the killer in this circle. However, another clue, a poem written in blood, points in a completely different direction.
