nJoy Cadu 2000

The nJoy Cadu 2000 backup power supply works with line-interactive topology and provides a real power output of 1200W (2000VA). A line-interactive UPS protects sensitive electronics such as computers or NAS network storage. The integrated automatic voltage regulation (AVR) with Boost and Buck functions stabilises the output voltage when the input voltage fluctuates between 176–280V AC, thus saving battery capacity. At a half load of 600W, it powers connected devices for 3 minutes and 44 seconds. Communication with a computer or Synology NAS is handled by the HID USB port. A clear LCD display monitors the operating status, and an RJ-45 port with support for 1Gb/s transfer speeds provides protection for network components.

Power and voltage stabilisation

The power supply uses a line-interactive (VI) topology with an automatic voltage regulation (AVR) function (Boost and buck) that corrects mains fluctuations. The apparent power reaches 2000VA and the real power output is 1200W. The device operates with an input voltage range of 176–280V AC and automatically detects the input frequency. It maintains the output voltage at 230V AC with a tolerance of ±10%.

Battery and backup

Inside you will find two internal GP09122F batteries. At 50% load (600W), it provides a backup time of 3 minutes and 44 seconds. The cold start function is used to start the UPS directly from the batteries without mains power. The power supply supports off-mode charging and alerts you with an alarm when the battery needs replacing.

Connectivity and sockets

Four backed-up Schuko sockets are available for connecting appliances. Communication with a computer or network attached storage (NAS) is provided by the HID USB port and network protection. The network protection includes an RJ-45 port for the data network with 1Gb/s support and an RJ-11 port for the telephone line.
