The nJoy Keen 1500 backup power supply is a line-interactive UPS with a real power output of 900W and an apparent power of 1500VA. It protects and powers computers and other electronic devices. Its main feature is Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), which actively stabilises fluctuating input voltage across a wide range of 162 to 290VAC without switching to battery power. This approach saves battery capacity for complete power outages. At a half load of 450W, this backup power supply provides power for 8 minutes, while at full load it lasts for 1 minute. Its high efficiency, reaching up to 97% at 50% load, contributes to lower energy consumption and less heat generation.

Performance, efficiency with AVR and battery management

The line-interactive (VI) topology uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct undervoltage and overvoltage. This protects connected devices from mains instability while extending battery life. The power supply operates with high efficiency, reaching 97% at 50% load and 95% at 100% full load. The backup time for a 450W load is 8 minutes, which provides enough time to save your work and safely shut down the system. At a full load of 900W, the backup time is 1 minute. Inside the case are two internal GP09122L batteries, which charge to 90% of their capacity in 6 hours. This process is managed by intelligent power management. The supply supports a cold start function, allowing it to start directly from the battery without mains power. To keep the batteries in optimal condition, the Auto-Charge and Off-Mode Charging features restore battery capacity whenever the UPS is connected to the mains.

Integrated protection mechanisms and connectivity

The unit actively protects both connected devices and the power supply itself from common mains electricity risks. Integrated circuits provide protection against overload, overvoltage, short circuits, deep discharge, and battery overcharging. The Auto-Restart function automatically restores UPS operation and power to your appliances once the mains supply returns. The operating noise level does not exceed 40dB, ensuring a quiet environment that won't disturb you in the office or at home. To connect your appliances, it offers four Schuko output sockets, all of which are fully battery-backed. It also includes surge protection for your data network and telephone line via RJ-45 and RJ-11 connectors. Power is supplied by a standard mains cable.
