Naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fish oil comes from wild-caught fish. Fish oil is not obtained as a by-product, but directly from whole small fish such as sardines, mackerel and anchovies. These fish are caught in the wild and their fishing is governed by strict guidelines. The fish oil is then purified of harmful substances and PCBs and controlled according to strict Norwegian regulations.
2,000 mg omega-3 per tablespoon
Omega-3 Total (200 ml) contains a unique combination of EPA-rich fish oil and extra virgin olive oil as an antioxidant. A daily dose (8 ml, approx. 1 tablespoon) contains 2,000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA). The recommended dose of 2 g of omega-3 helps with omega-3 deficiency in the body and corrects the level of omega-3 in the body, which can be demonstrated by measuring the index.

- Absolutely natural, without concentrates - NORSAN Omega-3 Total natural fish oil contains a complex of more than 50 fatty acids. This natural fatty acid structure is preserved during the extraction and purification process. Consuming unconcentrated natural omega-3 oil has a similar effect to consuming fish alone. NORSAN absolutely does not use any concentrates because the natural fish oil complex is chemically destroyed and then reconstructed with an artificially high concentration of omega-3.
- Unique 3-phase purification with micro distillation - effective purification, which is normally performed in two phases, ensures that the fish oil is free of harmful substances. For the purification of NORSAN Total fish oil, we use a modern and unique three-step method that also includes a costly micro-distillation process. This enables us to offer the best and purest quality.
- Olive trees olive oil thoughan omega-3 - omega-3 fatty acids are particularly "sensitive" and can be easily damaged. They must therefore be "protected" not only before consumption, but also in the body after consumption. That's why our Omega-3 Total oil contains 19% extra virgin olive oil, which acts as a natural and powerful antioxidant. Our olive oil has been specially selected for its powerful antioxidant properties.
- We use extra virgin olive oil - high in polyphenols, known for its antioxidant properties. It is the high proportion of polyphenols in olive oil that protects omega-3 fatty acids from oxidation. A unique property of olive oil rich in polyphenols is that it causes a slight tingling sensation in the throat when consumed.
- The quality of the raw materials and the special purification system of the fish oil give NORSAN Omega-3 Total its pleasant taste. A few drops of natural lemon oil adds a light lemony note (but it is also available in natural form). The oil is noticeably "fresh", which is reflected in its good taste. "Freshness" is measured, among other things, by the low value of the total oxidation of the oil (Totox). High quality raw materials and a unique three-stage processing and purification process, including micro-distillation, guarantee the exceptional quality of NORSAN fish oil. - Why flaxseed oil alone is not enough - EPA and DHA are present in marine fish, algae and shellfish. Most omega-3 vegetable oils, such as flaxseed and chia oil, contain only the plant omega-3 fatty acid ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), but no EPA or DHA.
- Nuts and chia seeds contain ALA, as does flaxseed oil, which contains particularly high levels of ALA. Unfortunately, ALA can only be converted to the important marine omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA to a limited extent. The conversion factor is only 0.5-10% and is highly dependent on weight, metabolism and other factors. Scientific studies generally agree that ALA intake alone cannot regulate EPA and DHA deficiency.

Natural fish oil, olive oil, cholecalciferol (vitamin D), mixed tocopherols (vitamin E). Omega-3 Total with lemon flavour contains a few drops of natural lemon oil.
Recommended dosage
The recommended daily dose is 8 ml, which corresponds to about 1 tablespoon. For better absorption in the body, it is recommended to take the oil with (or just after) meals. With the recommended dose, the bottle lasts 25 days. The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded unless otherwise directed by a physician.

Storage
Store the unopened bottle in a cool, dry place and protect from direct sunlight. At temperatures below 4° C, crystals may occur in the oil. These will melt after a few minutes if left at room temperature. We recommend shaking the bottle briefly before use. Keep out of reach of small children. Once opened, the bottle should be stored in the refrigerator and consumed within 45 days.
