Nurofen 200 mg belongs to the drugs labeled as analgesics, antipyretics, non-steroidal antirheumatic drugs (drugs intended to control pain, fever and inflammation). Nurofen 200 mg is suitable for the whole family (children aged 6 years and over), effectively helps with pain, reduces inflammation and reduces fever. It is effective against headaches, migraine, muscle and joint pain, back, teeth, menstrual pain and after operations.

As the name suggests, 1 tablet of Nurofen contains 200 mg of ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and fever. It blocks the production of certain chemicals in the body that are responsible for pain and inflammation.

Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over with a body weight of 40 kg or more take 1 to 2 tablets as an initial dose; furthermore, 1 to 2 tablets are taken every 4 to 6 hours if necessary. Maintain a time interval of at least 4 hours between two doses. The maximum dose is 6 tablets in 24 hours.

If you notice any of the following symptoms, stop using Nurofen and seek medical attention immediately: reddish non-elevated target-like or circular spots on the body, often with blisters in the central part, peeling of the skin, ulcers in the mouth, throat, nose, on the genitals and in the eyes. These severe skin rashes may be preceded by fever and flu-like symptoms (exfoliative dermatitis, erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis); ▪ extensive rash, high body temperature and enlarged lymph nodes (DRESS syndrome); ▪ red, scaly, spreading rash with swellings under the skin and blisters accompanied by fever. Symptoms usually appear when treatment is started (acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis); allergic reaction (urticaria, itching, asthma, shortness of breath), sudden swelling around the eyes, a feeling of tightness in the chest or difficulty breathing; ▪ pain in the abdomen or black-coloured stools, vomiting, diarrhoea, other digestive disorders; ▪ visual disturbances.
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25°C. Keep in original packaging to protect the product from moisture and light. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging after the abbreviation EXP. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
Read the package insert carefully. The active ingredient ibuprofen is contained in a number of different drugs, beware of combining them. Do not take more than one ibuprofen medication at the same time. Do not drink alcohol during treatment.
