Fever is a common symptom in children, which usually signals that the body is fighting an infection. In addition to an elevated temperature, the child may be troubled by irritability, fatigue, flushed cheeks, loss of appetite or body aches. Although fever can be worrisome for parents, it is not a disease in itself, but a natural defensive reaction of the body. If the situation is serious and medication needs to be administered, a great helper in bringing down fever is Nurofen for children. If the child has a problem taking medication by mouth or in case of acute vomiting, the use of rectal suppositories is the ideal choice.
The active ingredient in Nurofen for Children 125 mg is ibuprofen (1 suppository contains 125 mg of ibuprofen). The auxiliary substance is solidified fat.
