Nutriheads Pulse Performance Vitamin D3 + K2 MK7 is a food supplement combining vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and vitamin K2 in the form of MK-7 (menaquinone-7). One capsule contains 4,000 IU of vitamin D3 and 75µg of vitamin K2. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system, the maintenance of normal bones, teeth and muscles, and the normal absorption of calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal blood clotting. The manufacturer recommends taking one capsule daily, ideally with a meal containing fat.

The Most Important Facts About D3 and K2 MK-7
- Vitamin D3, often nicknamed the “sunshine vitamin”, is a key nutrient that plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health and well-being. Unlike other vitamins, vitamin D acts more like a hormone, influencing various bodily processes, not just bone health. The primary source of vitamin D3 is sunlight. When ultraviolet (UVB) rays from sunlight hit the skin, a cholesterol derivative in the skin is converted into vitamin D3. This process is facilitated by the liver and kidneys, where vitamin D3 undergoes further conversions to become biologically active. Research shows that 10–30 minutes in the sun is equivalent to taking up to several tens of thousands of IU of vitamin D3. In our climate, however, it is difficult to get that much sun for most of the year. Therefore, it is advisable to supply vitamin D to the body through diet (salmon, tuna, liver, egg yolks) or food supplements such as Natios Vitamin D3 & K2.

Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3, from lanolin), vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7, MK-7), rice flour, capsule: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC).
Recommended Dosage
Take 1 capsule daily. Swallow the capsule and wash down with plenty of water. It is ideal to take it with a meal containing fat, because vitamins D3 and K2 are fat-soluble and the fat in the meal can help their absorption.
Warning
Food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The manufacturer recommends not to take it at the same time as other supplements containing vitamin D. A food supplement does not replace a varied and balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle. If you are taking medication that affects blood clotting, it is advisable to consult your doctor about taking vitamin K.
