PetSafe® Smart with microchip
The PetSafe Smart Microchip Cat Flap provides safe and convenient access for cats and small dogs, without letting stray animals inside. The integrated reader identifies your pet's microchip or the special key fob and automatically opens the flap just for them. Thanks to the option of installing it in doors, windows, walls, and glass, the PetSafe Smart Microchip Cat Flap is the ideal solution for households that want to give their pet freedom while protecting their home.
Key Features of the PetSafe Smart Microchip Cat Flap
- Selective entry—only opens for pets with a registered microchip or RFID key fob
- The flap has a reinforced double automatic lock with a four-way manual adjustable locking system
- You can programme up to 40 microchips
- Prevents stray cats or other uninvited guests from entering
- Two-way operation, allows entry and exit according to your settings
- Easy maintenance—the plastic design is easy to clean
- Suitable for wood, metal, PVC, glass, and walls
- For pets up to 8kg, i.e. for cats and small dog breeds such as Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terriers, or Pugs
- The PetSafe Smart Microchip Cat Flap is ideal for cats that do not tolerate a collar, as identification is done by reading the microchip and the animal does not have to wear any fob or key
Important Notice
- When installing the cat flap in metal, glass or a brick wall, an installation adaptor is required (sold separately)
- When mounting the flap in a wall, an extension tunnel is required (sold separately)
- This cat flap will only work if your cat or dog is fitted with a microchip
- The flap reads the most common type of microchip, DX-B (15-digit)—this is the chip from your vet
- We recommend checking chip compatibility
