Rathbone R5SM

Rathbone R5SM
The Rathbone R5SM dreadnought acoustic guitar in a natural gloss finish features a Double Top solid Sitka spruce top, sapele mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The larger, traditional dreadnought body naturally enhances low to mid frequencies, making it incredibly versatile. The instrument is fitted with high-quality chrome machine heads. It is also equipped with a bone saddle and nut. Traditional aesthetics meet 21st-century technology – the guitar features a technologically advanced soundboard made from two super-thin layers of spruce with a carbon fibre lattice in between. This construction allows the top to be slightly thinner than a single solid piece of spruce, while remaining strong and highly responsive. The result is enhanced resonance and a truly voluminous sound. This remarkable technology, combined with the sapele mahogany back and sides, ensures an instrument with a warm and colourful tone. The guitar excels in any musical setting, providing the ideal balance of volume, clarity, and player comfort.
