Wide-angle image in ultra-high resolution
At the heart of the optical system is a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor, which works with two fixed lenses with a focal length of 4mm. The Reolink Argus Series IP camera captures the scene at a resolution of 5120 × 1440 px at a frame rate of 15 fps, which corresponds to the detailed 8Mpx standard. The dual image stitching technology combines the outputs from both lenses into a single panoramic view with a horizontal angle of 180° and a vertical angle of 50°. For efficient storage space management, the device uses modern H.264 and H.265 compression formats, which significantly reduce bandwidth requirements and the size of saved files while maintaining high recording quality.
Colour night vision with colourX technology
This model does not use traditional infrared illumination but instead utilises advanced full-colour night vision. colourX technology captures up to four times more light than conventional sensors, providing a clear colour image even in very dark environments. In low light, the camera activates a trio of integrated floodlights with a total power of 2W and a colour temperature of 6,500K. These floodlights illuminate the monitored area.
Smart detection and instant alarms
The security system uses a built-in PIR sensor with an adjustable detection distance of up to 10m and a horizontal viewing angle of 170°. Integrated artificial intelligence accurately recognises moving people, vehicles, and animals, thereby preventing false alarms caused by things like falling leaves or shadows. When an intrusion is detected, the IP camera sends an instant notification to your mobile phone via the app or sends an email alert. Users can customise motion zones and define privacy masks in the settings to exclude neighbouring properties.
Two-way communication
The device is equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker, which provide clear audio transmission. The IP camera with two-way communication allows you to speak to people near the device in real time directly through the mobile app. This feature is useful for communicating with couriers, postal workers, or for warning uninvited visitors on your property.
Flexible recording storage
Videos are recorded based on motion detection, which saves both storage capacity and energy. Recordings are saved to a MicroSD memory card, and the camera supports cards with a capacity of up to 128GB. Alternatively, you can use the secure Reolink Cloud storage or the Home Hub central unit to manage multiple cameras at once.
Connectivity and App
Wireless network connection is handled via dual-band Wi-Fi operating on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies with Wi-Fi 6 support for stable 4K video transmission. Device management, live streaming, and playback of recordings are done in the Reolink App for Android and iOS mobile platforms, or via the Reolink Client software on Windows and Mac computers. The camera supports voice control via Google Assistant, making it easy to integrate into your smart home.
