The Seasonic Prime TX-1600 Noctua Edition power supply delivers stable power to builds with high demands for performance and quiet operation. With a total output of 1600W and 80 PLUS Titanium certification, it supports the modern ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards for compatibility with future components. Its design was created in collaboration with Noctua to achieve minimal noise without compromising on performance. In addition, the fully modular cabling system simplifies installation and promotes optimal airflow inside the PC case.
When choosing a suitable PC power supply, the key parameter besides the form factor is the power output. This indicates the maximum number of Watts the power supply can continuously provide to the components in the computer. It is a good idea to use a web calculator to work out the optimal power output based on your chosen components.
The cooling is based on a 120mm Noctua NF-A12x25 fan, known for its low-noise profile and efficiency. A specially adapted fan grille minimises air turbulence. Digital hybrid control keeps the fan switched off at low loads, allowing the power supply to operate completely passively and silently. The fan only activates when a set temperature or load is exceeded.
The power supply also powers high-performance graphics cards and other components. It includes two native 16-pin 12V-2x6 (12VHPWR) connectors that fully comply with the specifications of the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. This native support eliminates the need for adaptors and contributes to cleaner cable management and more reliable power delivery.
Micro Tolerance Load Regulation (MTLR) technology keeps the output voltage deviation below 0.5%. Such precise regulation is key for the stability of demanding components, such as modern processors and graphics cards, which are sensitive to voltage fluctuations. Stable power protects components from damage and supports their full performance potential, even when overclocking.
The 80 PLUS Titanium certification confirms the power supply's efficiency of up to 94% at 50% load. High efficiency means that very little electrical energy is converted into waste heat. Lower heat production reduces the demands on cooling and contributes to the quieter operation of the entire system. At the same time, it reduces electricity consumption and operating costs.
The power supply's construction uses exclusively Japanese capacitors certified for operation at temperatures up to 105°C. These components are fundamental for the long-term reliability and stability of the electrical circuits, even under demanding operating conditions. Using these parts extends the life of the power supply and limits the risk of failure due to thermal stress.
The power supply integrates a set of six key protection features that form a comprehensive safety system. These include over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), over-current protection (OCP), over-power protection (OPP), short-circuit protection (SCP), and over-temperature protection (OTP). These mechanisms actively protect the connected components from damage in the event of abnormal operating conditions or a fault in the electrical grid.
The 80 Plus certification was created to objectively assess the efficiency of PC power supplies. It gives users a simple and clear way to compare different models. On the European market (which uses a 230V voltage), there are six levels of 80 Plus certification, each with specific requirements for PC power supplies. Higher energy efficiency primarily means lower energy consumption.
