The SKAGFÄ KLYV children's starter knife is specially designed for small hands, letting children get involved in cooking and help their parents in the kitchen. It features a wedge-shaped design and a high-quality stainless-steel blade with no sharp edges, which enables children to easily slice fruit, vegetables and other foods with no risk of injury. The knife supports the development of both fine and gross motor skills, improves hand-eye coordination and teaches children independence. It also inspires children to get involved in cooking in line with the Waldorf/Montessori approach, through play, responsibility and hands-on experience.

The SKAGFÄ KLYV children's starter knife boasts an ergonomic design, making it comfortable to use as it fits naturally in the hand. It is suitable for both right and left-handed users, and children can also hold it with both hands. The knife lets you safely involve your children in cooking while teaching them patience.
Care instructions:
Wash the knife in warm water with a mild washing-up liquid before first use and after every use. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scouring pads or other harsh tools that could scratch the product. The knife is dishwasher safe in the top rack, but we recommend handwashing with a mild washing-up liquid to extend its lifespan. If washing in a dishwasher, place the knife flat to prevent potential warping.
Warning:
This knife is not a toy. It is suitable for children from 2 years under adult supervision. Keep out of reach of children. Use with care. Avoid impacts or drops that could damage the edge, structure or surface of the metal part. Some foods may stain the product. Discolouration of the knife does not affect its performance. We recommend not using the knife for food hotter than 45°C to avoid scalding. Check all parts of the knife before each use and discard it at the first signs of wear and tear. Keep packaging and unused parts out of reach of children. Not suitable for microwave use.
