The Academy Grade 3 16-1S Belt Ocean is ideal for children aged 4 and up. It has 16-inch wheels, no suspension and weighs only 5.7 kg thanks to its aluminium frame. The short handles allow for natural leg movement and the handles and saddle are adapted to children's proportions. Lightweight and durable kids' bike with 16-inch wheels and belt drive for your first real rides

The bike has 16-inch wheels with black aluminium rims measuring 16" × 1.5" × 16H. The front and rear hubs are also aluminium, with 14 spokes and 16 holes, also in black. The outfit consists of high-quality VEE TIRE Speedster 16" × 1.50 (40-305) tyres with reflective stripes and 72 TPI fibre density, which ensure good grip and safety. The fork is made of aluminium, as is the 25.4 mm diameter seatpost. The bike is equipped with 470 mm wide BMX handlebars and black Velo grips. It has no fenders, lighting, rack or stand, which contributes to its light weight. The pedals used have dimensions of 95 × 80 × 23 mm, are equipped with ball bearings, reflectors and 9/16" thread.

Simple gearing and safe braking for small cyclists

The drive is provided by a belt drive (C-Drive), with 1 gear (single-speed idler system). The front derailleur has 48 teeth and a crank length of 102 mm, the rear pinion has 30 teeth and both components are made of aluminium. The braking system consists of aluminium V-brakes front and rear, operated by black composite brake levers. The frame is Diamant Knick type, 26 cm high and made of triple butted aluminium, which ensures low weight and high strength. The bike weighs only 5.70 kg and the maximum load capacity is 30 kg. Inside, it is fitted with a Thun Twist-ML 2.0 centre compound with an axle length of 110 mm.

The seat tube length is 255 mm and the seat angle is 68°, which helps the child sit comfortably and naturally. The length of the head tube is 100 mm and the steering angle is 70°, which ensures stable and easy to handle steering. The horizontal length of the top tube is 397 mm, while the length of the chain stays reaches 280 mm. The overall wheelbase is 676 mm, which contributes to stability when driving. The minimum saddle height is 490 mm and the maximum 570 mm, so the bike will grow well with the child. The length of the handles is 102 mm, which corresponds to the ergonomics of small riders.
