Garmin introduces another model in its line of fitness trackers, the Vivoactive Optic. The word "Optic" is not just a name - the watch measures your heart rate directly on your wrist using the special "Elevate" optical sensor. Furthermore, you can enjoy the advantages of its small dimensions, low weight, and an integrated accelerometer that monitors your activity and the calories burned all day.

Brilliant display
The watch's dominant feature is the top-of-the-line high-resolution, colour touch-screen display that boasts excellent readability even in direct sunlight. The IQ Connect platform enables you to add different display designs, widgets, or new training features to your watch. Since these watches are intended for use during swimming as well, they are waterproof and can also withstand continuous periods of swimming. The rechargeable battery lasts up to 7 days in watch mode or up to 13 hours using GPS.
Smart features
The Elevate Pulse Optical Sensor provides 24-hour monitoring and pulse recording, the gathered data available for further analysis through Garmin Connect. Another interesting feature is "floor counting": using the built-in altimeter sensor, the watch can count the number of floors you have climbed throughout the day.

Designed for versatile use
These watches let you transition from one sport to another with ease, covering a wide range of activities - running, riding, skiing, golf or swimming. Another great advantage of the watches is that they don't require a connection with your mobile phone. Of course, after pairing them with your mobile phone (Android, iOS, or Windows Phone), you can get some more features. Your watch alerts you to incoming calls, emails or text messages right on the display. You can also send data directly to record in the Garmin Connect Training Diary.
