Luminous flux
This is measured in Lumens (lm), and the higher the value, the more intensely the headlamp shines. Some LED headlamps offer multiple light intensity levels, which can be adjusted either in steps or continuously. However, a higher luminous flux shortens the battery life.Up to 100lm – a headlamp for home use (lighting in the cellar, attic, or when repairing a car).
100–400lm – for outdoor use (night running, cycling, camping).
Over 400lm – for extreme professions and sports (rescuers, mountaineers).
