You can easily expand the system at any time by adding more compatible Deco units. The low latency that Wi-Fi 6 brings is a benefit for online gaming and lag-free video calls. To efficiently serve a high number of devices, the system uses OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies. These features increase network capacity and enable simultaneous communication with multiple clients, which is crucial in an environment with many smart devices.
Security and network management
Network protection is handled by modern WPA3 encryption, supplemented by the older WPA and WPA2 standards. An integrated SPI Firewall prevents unauthorised access from the internet. The TP-Link HomeShield suite also includes tools for comprehensive protection. HomeShield provides advanced parental controls, real-time antivirus protection, and a QoS function to prioritise network traffic. You can manage the system and perform initial setup via the Deco mobile app (for Android and iOS) or through the web interface. The system also supports voice control with Alexa.
WiFi system connectivity
Each Deco X60 unit includes two gigabit ethernet ports with automatic WAN/LAN detection. The ports are used for connecting to the internet and for wired connections to end devices, such as computers or games consoles. This allows for flexible integration into your home network.
