The TP-Link EAP653 UR WiFi Access Point is a dual-band solution for building high-performance wireless networks. It uses the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard, which, combined with OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies, efficiently manages data streams for multiple connected devices simultaneously and reduces latency. The total transmission speed reaches up to 2976Mbps, split between 2402Mbps on the 5GHz band and 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. The 160MHz channel width doubles the data throughput for compatible clients. This ceiling-mounted access point fully integrates into the Omada SDN platform for centralised management, and can be powered flexibly via PoE+ (802.3at) or an optional DC adapter.

Performance and coverage
The access point operates simultaneously on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, providing a combined AX3000 speed. A stable and strong signal is ensured by a set of 4 internal antennas with a gain of 2× 5dBi for the 2.4GHz band and 3× 5dBi for the 5GHz band. OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies optimise transmissions in high-density client environments. The 160MHz bandwidth increases the number of simultaneous data transmissions and contributes to smooth high-resolution video streaming or fast, low-latency data transfers. Support for Mesh technology and seamless roaming lets you create an extensive wireless network with a single name (SSID) and an uninterrupted connection as you move between individual points.
Centralised management with Omada SDN
The device integrates into the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform, which unifies network elements such as access points, switches, and routers into a single interface. Management can be done locally or remotely via the cloud, which simplifies network deployment and maintenance from any location and completely eliminates the need for physical presence at the device. The Omada SDN platform unifies the management of the entire network from a web browser or the Omada mobile app.
Advanced network security
Several layers of security protect your wireless network. The access point supports the modern WPA3 encryption standard, which provides password protection and increased security against attacks. For backward compatibility, WPA2 and WPA2-Enterprise support is also available. By separating guest traffic from the main corporate network, you can create a secure guest network with a captive portal that requires authentication before access. Other security features include MAC address filtering and wireless client isolation.
Flexible mounting and efficient PoE power
Thanks to its compact dimensions of 160×33.6×160mm and practical design, the access point is ideal for installation in offices, hotels or commercial spaces. The included mounting kit makes it easy to attach to a wall or ceiling. Power is primarily supplied via an Ethernet cable using the 802.3at (PoE+) standard, which simplifies installation by eliminating the need for a nearby electrical socket, as a single supply cable is all that is needed for full operation. Alternatively, a 12V DC adapter, sold separately, can also be used for power. The device is equipped with one Gigabit Ethernet port.
