The polyester fabric forms the outer layer of the jacket and provides abrasion resistance. For riding in changeable weather, there is a removable waterproof membrane that you can easily take out on warmer days. This makes the jacket more breathable. Furthermore, the option to connect it to trousers prevents your back from being exposed while riding.
