The Ubiquiti transceiver module connects network devices using an optical path. The optical transceiver transfers data at speeds of up to 1Gb/s over multi-mode optical fibre. The device operates at a wavelength of 850nm with a maximum range of 550m. Powering it requires a maximum power consumption of 0.66W at an operating temperature of 0 to 70°C. A duplex LC UPC connector is used to connect the optical cable. The device requires multi-mode optical fibre, which is not included in the transceiver package. The laser product complies with Class 1 safety according to IEC/EN 60825-1:2014.
