Ubiquiti UniFi 2 white
The Ubiquiti UniFi 2 network storage device is designed for storing, sharing, and backing up data in both home and office environments. It can house two 3.5" SATA HDDs, and the device supports a RAID 1 mirrored array configuration to protect your stored data against the failure of one of the drives. It connects to the local network via a 2.5Gbps Ethernet interface. The system is NDAA-compliant and offers file encryption as well as system snapshot support for data recovery when needed.

Hardware performance
The entire system is run by a quad-core 1.7GHz ARM Cortex-A55 processor. Smooth task processing is supported by 4GB of system memory, which maintains a stable response time when multiple users are accessing the network. The internal architecture also includes an M.2 slot for a SATA interface, and the system requires UniFi Drive version 3.1.7 or higher, or the mobile app for iOS and Android.
Network interface and connectivity
Data transfers on the local network are handled by a single RJ45 Ethernet port with support for 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1Gbps, and 2.5Gbps speeds. The device features one additional USB-C port with a throughput of 5Gbps for connecting other external drives. Wireless setup and initial configuration are made easy by the integrated Bluetooth 4.1 interface, which is used for communicating with your mobile phone.
Backup options
The device supports automatic data saving and sending backups to remote systems on the network. Users can take advantage of direct backups to cloud services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, or Wasabi. Backing up to a remote UNAS server is also available, as well as backing up to CIFS or SMB servers, and there is also support for the Time Machine protocol for macOS computers.
Management and software features
Standard network protocols SMB and NFS are used for file access, complemented by support for SAMBA, HFS, and CIFS file sharing. The current device status and network activity are shown on the 1.47" colour LCM display. Data, shared folders, encryption, and user groups are all managed via the UniFi Drive application for mobile devices and the web interface.
Construction and power
The polycarbonate construction weighs 1.3kg without any hard drives installed. It is powered via the included 60W PoE++ adapter, with the total system power consumption staying under 60W and the power budget for the drives being 52W. The device operates reliably in a temperature range of -5°C to 40°C at an ambient humidity of 10% to 90%.
