Unitree G1-D-U1

The Unitree G1-D-U1 is a stationary humanoid handling platform - combining two 7-axis robotic arms, a 2-axis waist and a height-adjustable column for working at different heights. The robot base has 17 DoF without end effector (7×2 arm, 2 waist, 1 column) and the U1 variant adds two-finger force-controlled Dex1-1 Advanced grippers - 19 DoF in total for basic grasping and manipulation data acquisition.

Work space and height adjustable column

The standard version is a stationary platform without running gear. The height-adjustable column has a stroke of 500 mm, a stroke speed of max 60 mm/s and a maximum working height of approx. 2 m, which is practical for teleoperation, demonstrations and data collection at different heights of the working area.

The U1 variant uses two-finger force-controlled Dex1-1 Advanced grippers. It is suitable for basic gripping and repetitive handling tasks where a stable grip and simple control is a priority.

For working with visual tasks, the platform is equipped with a multi-sensor perception system. It is suitable for teleoperation, handling tracking and data collection without the need for chassis navigation.

The computing base is a Jetson Orin NX 16 GB (100 TOPS) combined with an 8-core CPU. The platform supports secondary development and OTA updates, making it suitable for iterative development of control algorithms, teleoperation and data pipelines for learning from demonstrations.

The standard version uses a 9000 mAh quick-release smart battery and also allows direct cable power. The claimed battery life is approximately 2 hours.
