The type of filter in kettles refers to the different ways in which the filter is placed inside the kettle and how it can be cleaned or replaced. Here we describe the three main types of filters, namely permanent (a fixed filter), removable (a filter that can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement) and hinged (a filter integrated into the lid or wall of the kettle that can be hinged for easy cleaning).
