Detailed 2K HD Image and Reliable Night Vision
The IP camera uses a sensitive 5MP CMOS image sensor which, combined with a fixed 4.1mm focal length lens, delivers a clear image. The maximum resolution reaches 2688×1512px at a smooth frame rate of 30 FPS. The wide-angle shot with a horizontal angle of 84.4°, a vertical angle of 45.4° and a screen size angle of 99.8° covers a large area without blind spots. For efficient data transmission and to save storage space, the camera uses the proven H.264 video compression, which significantly reduces the data stream while maintaining high-quality recorded video. Protecting the area in poor light conditions and in complete darkness is ensured by the built-in infrared night vision. The system uses an integrated IR LED illuminator with a mechanical IR cut filter that activates automatically when the ambient light level drops. The infrared light, with a maximum range of 9m, reliably illuminates the monitored scene without disturbing the surroundings with visible radiation. In combination with the digital zoom, you get a clear black and white image with sharp details, even in the middle of the night.
Smart Detection and Security
The integrated processor with powerful algorithms allows for precise real-time evaluation of the situation in front of the lens. The Ubiquiti G5 IP camera reliably recognises motion, people, vehicles, and animals, which minimises the number of false alarms caused by things like falling leaves or changes in light. If suspicious activity is detected, the system reacts immediately and sends security notifications to mobile phones or via email.
Durable Design, Easy Installation, Connection and App
The camera's body, made of polycarbonate and aluminium alloy, is highly resistant to external damage. With an IP55 certification, it withstands adverse weather conditions, and the IK04 mechanical resistance rating protects the device from vandalism. The device operates in a temperature range of -20°C to 40°C and can handle air humidity up to 90%. The design allows for flexible mounting on a wall, ceiling, or pole, and the necessary mounting hardware is included in the package. Connection to the network is provided by a 10/100 MbE RJ-45 ethernet port, which also serves for PoE power in the 37–57V DC voltage range with a maximum consumption of only 4W. Device management is handled through the UniFi Protect application, which supports iOS, Android, and Windows operating systems with localisation in both Czech and English. The system for storing captured video recordings exclusively uses secure cloud storage directly from the manufacturer.
