An intelligent astronomical telescope with fully automatic object finding and tracking, autofocus, and live image stacking. It is equipped with a 50mm apochromatic lens, a focal length of 250mm, and a Sony IMX585 colour sensor with a resolution of 8.3Mpx. CovalENS technology allows you to create panoramic images with a resolution of up to 24Mpx. Control is via the Singularity app for Android and iOS, with a battery life of up to 4 hours and 25GB of internal storage.

The free Singularity by Vaonis app serves as the telescope's control centre. It offers a catalogue of over 4,300 astronomical objects and recommends suitable targets based on your current location, date, and time. In the app, you can:

The Vaonis Vespera 2 combines an astronomical telescope, a digital camera, an automatic mount, and a powerful image processing system into a single compact device. Simply place the telescope on its tripod, turn it on, and select the desired object using the Singularity app. The Vespera 2 will automatically orient itself to its current position, recognise the night sky, and lock onto the selected target. During the observation, it then tracks it, continuously focuses, and stacks the individual exposures. This allows the user to focus on observing and photographing without having to manually search for objects or deal with complicated mount and camera settings.

The optical part of the telescope consists of a four-element apochromatic refractor with a 50mm lens diameter, a 250mm focal length, and an f/5 aperture. The design, with image field correction, helps to maintain sharp stars and high-quality definition right to the edges of the final image. The Sony IMX585 colour sensor with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and a pixel size of 2.9µm provides high sensitivity and a wide field of view. The Vespera 2 is particularly suitable for photographing galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, supernova remnants, and other deep-sky objects. The telescope does not have a traditional eyepiece. The image is displayed in real time on the screen of the connected phone or tablet, where it can also be saved, shared, or further edited.
When photographing the deep sky normally, it is necessary to take tens or even hundreds of separate exposures and then process them on a computer. The Vespera 2 performs this process automatically. It continuously checks the individual exposures, rejects poor-quality images, and stacks the suitable ones. The resulting image is gradually refined directly in the app – as the observation time increases, finer details appear, noise is reduced, and the colours of the observed object are enhanced. Advanced users can also save individual 16-bit images in FITS format or pre-stacked TIFF images for further processing in astronomical software.

The patented CovalENS technology overcomes the limitations of a telescope's normal field of view. The Vespera 2 automatically photographs adjacent parts of the sky and combines them into one large panoramic image. This allows you to capture even very large objects, such as the Andromeda Galaxy, the Veil Nebula complex, or vast emission nebulae. The user can choose the final framing and watch the photographed area gradually expand in the app. In CovalENS mode, the final resolution can reach up to 24Mpx and the field of view up to 4.33 × 2.43°.
The Vespera 2 is equipped with a motorised autofocus system that can maintain a sharp image even as the ambient temperature changes during the night. The motorised alt-azimuth mount also ensures automatic targeting and continuous tracking of the selected object. The telescope also uses dithering, which involves slightly shifting the image between individual exposures. This method helps to reduce noise, dead pixels, and regular image patterns.
