A premium smart astronomical telescope with fully automatic orientation, object finding and tracking, automatic focusing, and live image stacking. It offers a 50mm apochromatic lens, f/4.9 aperture, and a Sony IMX585 colour sensor with 8.3Mpx resolution. CovalENS technology creates panoramas with a resolution of up to 24Mpx, the battery provides up to 11 hours of use, and the internal storage has a capacity of 115GB. The package includes a height-adjustable aluminium tripod.

The free Singularity app for Android and iOS is used to control all the telescope's functions. It contains an extensive catalogue of astronomical objects and recommends suitable targets based on the user's location, the time of year, and current conditions. The Plan My Night feature allows you to prepare a sequence of several objects. The Vespera 3 will then automatically focus on them, photograph them, and turn itself off after completing the planned programme. The app allows you to:

The Vaonis Vespera 3 combines an apochromatic telescope, a sensitive astronomical camera, a motorised mount, and a powerful image processing system into a single, easily portable device. No separate mount, astronomical camera, or computer is needed for observation. The telescope automatically orients itself to the night sky after being turned on. In the Singularity app, simply select the desired object, and the Vespera 3 will find it, focus on it, and start tracking it. It continuously focuses, takes individual exposures, and stacks them into a final image that is gradually displayed on your phone or tablet. With a battery life of up to 11 hours, the telescope can operate from dusk until dawn without needing to be connected to an external power source.

The optical part of the Vespera 3 consists of a newly designed four-element apochromatic lens with three groups of optical elements. The design, with image field correction, reduces chromatic aberration, field curvature, and other optical distortions. This ensures that stars remain sharp not only in the centre but also at the edges of the image. The lens has a diameter of 50mm, a focal length of 245mm, and an aperture of f/4.9. Integrated optical baffles suppress unwanted stray light before it reaches the sensor. The result is higher contrast and a cleaner image, which is particularly important when observing from urban and suburban areas. In locations with strong light pollution, the results can be further improved with an optional CLS or dual-band Vaonis filter.
The Vespera 3 uses a Sony IMX585 colour sensor with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, which is 8.3Mpx. The large 1/1.2" format and 2.9µm pixels provide good sensitivity and rapid image data collection. The native field of view of approximately 2.6°×1.4° is suitable for photographing galaxies, star clusters, emission and reflection nebulae, and vast regions of the Milky Way. The fast optics allow you to capture the first image in a short time, while longer observations gradually reveal fainter structures, finer details, and more vivid colours. The Vespera 3 does not have a traditional eyepiece. The image is viewed electronically on a connected phone or tablet and can be instantly saved or shared.

During observation, the telescope automatically captures tens to hundreds of short exposures. It checks individual images, rejects unsuitable shots, and continuously stacks the high-quality exposures. The resulting image gradually refines itself in the app. As the imaging time increases, image noise decreases, while the colours and faint structures of the observed object become more prominent. This allows the user to watch the astrophotograph emerge in real time. For advanced users, individual 16-bit exposures in FITS format and pre-stacked 16-bit TIFF images are available for further processing in programs like Siril or PixInsight.
The patented CovalENS technology enables the creation of automatic mosaics larger than the camera's native field of view. The telescope progressively images adjacent parts of the sky and combines them into a single wide-angle image. In panoramic mode, a field of view of approximately 4.3°×2.4° and a final resolution of up to 24Mpx can be achieved. This allows the Vespera 3 to capture entire vast objects such as the Andromeda Galaxy, the Veil Nebula, the North America Nebula, or extensive regions around the star Antares. The user can choose the desired framing and then watch in the app as the photographed area gradually expands.

The Vespera 3 allows you to continue photographing the same object over several nights. The telescope saves the exact composition, exposure settings, gain, stacking progress, and panorama status. For the next observation, simply select 'continue', and the telescope will pick up where the previous imaging session left off. This way, several or even tens of hours of exposure can be gradually accumulated without the need for manual alignment and stacking of images. The internal memory offers 15 slots for multi-night projects.
Motorised automatic focusing keeps stars sharp even as the temperature changes during the night. The telescope continuously checks the focus and, if necessary, automatically adjusts the position of the optics. The Vespera 3 also comes standard with an integrated temperature and humidity sensor. If there is a risk of the lens dewing up, it automatically activates the optics heater. The system operates only when needed, thus limiting unnecessary power consumption.
